COOKIE POLICY
Last updated: 26 August 2026
(c) Fort Technologies Ltd
This Cookie Policy explains how Fort Technologies Ltd ("Fort", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on fort-app.com and related Fort web properties. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The native Fort mobile app does not use browser cookies. This policy applies to our websites and, where relevant, Fort web app surfaces in a browser.
1. WHO WE ARE
Fort Technologies Ltd 56 Oakway, Woking, England, GU21 8TR Email: fort@fort-app.com
2. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They can help websites work, keep them secure, remember preferences, and (where used) measure usage or support advertising.
3. HOW WE USE COOKIES AND STORAGE TODAY
3.1 Strictly necessary / essential
We may use essential cookies or similar browser storage only where needed for:
- core site operation and navigation; - security, fraud prevention, and abuse protection; - form protection, including Cloudflare Turnstile where enabled; and - remembering essential choices required for the service to function (for example a stored cookie-preference acknowledgement on Fort web surfaces that show a notice).
These technologies are necessary for the site to work securely and do not require consent under UK PECR when limited to that purpose.
3.2 Website analytics (cookieless)
On fort-app.com we use a first-party, cookieless analytics service operated by Fort. It measures page views, selected events (for example sign-up or contact-form submissions), referral source, campaign parameters, browser/device information, and approximate country, region, and city/town.
That analytics service:
- does not set analytics cookies; - does not use local storage or similar identifiers to track visitors for analytics; - derives approximate location from the request IP using offline or edge geolocation, then discards the raw IP address after lookup; - does not send visitor IP addresses to third-party geolocation APIs for analytics; and - is not used for cross-site advertising profiles or behavioural advertising.
Because this analytics implementation does not rely on cookies or similar tracking identifiers, it does not require a cookie consent banner under UK PECR for the analytics itself. Further detail is in our Privacy Policy (Website cookies and analytics).
3.3 Advertising and third-party marketing cookies
We do not currently load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar advertising or marketing cookies on fort-app.com. If we enable optional advertising or marketing technologies in future, we will update this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy and request consent where required before non-essential cookies are set.
4. THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES
Some services that support fort-app.com may process technical data as part of providing the service:
- Cloudflare - DNS, CDN, security, bot protection, and (where enabled) Turnstile form protection. Cloudflare may set or use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for security and network delivery. - Railway - hosts Fort application infrastructure (EU deployment for Fort workloads). - Stripe - payment pages and Connect flows may set their own cookies under Stripe's policies when you use payment features. - Google / Firebase - used for authentication and push notification infrastructure in the Fort product; browser surfaces may interact with Google technologies where those features apply.
Embedded third-party content (if added later, for example maps) may set its own cookies subject to that provider's policy. We will update this Cookie Policy if we introduce such embeds on fort-app.com.
5. MANAGING COOKIES
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies or storage may stop parts of the site from working correctly (for example security checks or form submission).
Browser guidance:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies - Safari: Settings / Preferences > Privacy - Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security - Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Because our website analytics does not use analytics cookies, browser cookie controls do not turn that analytics off. If you want to limit network requests generally, you may use browser or network tools that block requests to our analytics collect endpoint; doing so will not affect core site use.
6. CHANGES
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, communicated through Fort channels.
